Providing fresh roasted artisan coffee with a purpose is our essential blend

Geoff and Robert founded Potomac Roasting Company after meeting in Guatemala several years ago while working as Peace Corps volunteers.

You're sure to enjoy their first roasts: Misty Mountain, Dark & Stormy, and Pura Vida. This delicious coffee comes from high-altitude beans grown organically, mostly by female producers in Costa Rica, Colombia, Guatemala, and Peru.

Stay tuned for new roasts from around the world!

That Peace Corps experience has instilled in us the following mantras:

great, handcrafted coffee

Roast great, handcrafted, artisan coffee for our customers using high-quality Arabica beans.

ethically grown coffee

Pay fair prices to small farmers and source ethically grown coffee at all times.

local animal organizations

Give back to the community by helping local organizations that rescue and place homeless animals in loving homes.

Good Karma in Every Cup

A portion of all proceeds from each purchase is donated to local shelters that help find homes for dogs and cats.  Why?  Because this is how we found our own favorite four-legged roasting companions, Rocky and Jordan.  As you enjoy the rich aroma and balanced flavors of our carefully selected, handcrafted micro-roasts, know that you are supporting a great cause.

We know there are a lot of options out there for buying fresh roasted coffee locally, so we hope you will consider choosing Potomac Roasting Company for your next pot.

Coffee Roasters Nearby

If you can't get there, you can shop here on our online store. If you are nearby, we are happy to deliver our fresh roasted coffee right to your front door.

We plan to participate in local craft fairs, markets and festivals. We look forward to seeing you. In addition, we will offer special blends and get out to seasonal markets with our fresh roasted coffee during the holiday season.
